This Week at CCUMC
Worcester Fellowship. March 21st. If you'd like to volunteer as we support those persons who are homeless in Worcester with food (and usually worship and fellowship, too, in non-pandemic times), either let me, Gaelle, Kim C., Cindy D., or Claudia B. know. Otherwise, we're looking for donations of non-perishable food items, such as chips, peanut butter or jelly, or applesauce, we'd greatly appreciate it, as well as cash/check donations to buy perishable items. Thanks!
Love Feast. Next Sunday is the first Sunday of the month, so we'll be sharing a love feast together. Have bread or some other food with juice or water ready.
Human Sexuality Conversation. Wednesday, March 4rd, 6 p.m. (or Saturday, the 6th, at 10 a.m.). Click for the sermon for this week and next, "Christian Perfection." There is no new preview for this week. Click for the same one from last week. We will finish what we intended to cover and then take a bit of a breather to recover from all the information.
YABS (Young Adult Bible Study). Thursday, March 4th, 7 p.m. Keep an eye out for Jen's reminder with the Zoom link.
Church Council Meeting. Tuesday, March 2nd, 6:30 p.m.
Stimulus Checks. 1) For anyone in need, whether it be desperate or not, of government assistance to survive the remaining months of the pandemic, I hope and pray that our leaders can get it together asap to pass and sign a relief bill. Some of us may not receive a check at all, like last time, and we need to pray for those people as well, because even though a larger income sounds great it doesn't necessarily eliminate financial struggle. For those of us not in need, let's continue to be in prayer for those who are; as well as praying about ways we can possibly help.
2) On the note about helping, I invite you to pray about possibly tithing, or more, your stimulus check. If you need the money, please do not feel guilty about saving or using it all for yourself. However, if you do not need all the money, in whatever amount is passed, tithing the stimulus check to the church could be your way of helping those in more dire need as we continue serving our community through God's grace, and also make you feel good about tithing.
