This Week at CCUMC
Worship. When outdoors, no mask or physical distancing necessary. If you are more comfortable with a mask and keeping distance, of course, you can. If it is raining, we will worship indoors with masks but no longer a need for physical distancing. Outdoors, we cannot guarantee livestreaming--if we are able to provide it, it will only be on Facebook Live. Come praise the Lord! Thanks to those who volunteered help with set up and takedown. More volunteers are welcome!
Worcester Fellowship. Thanks to everyone who made the last Worcester Fellowship a great success, as always. Our next opportunity to serve those who are homeless in Worcester is July 11th. You can support by planning to volunteer (bringing the food, worshiping, and fellowshiping on the 11th, or putting together the meals) or making a donation for the purchase of perishable food. Please let Gaelle McCloud or Claudia Blauvelt know if you have any questions or desire to volunteer.
Trustees Help. The trustees have a number of projects they could use some volunteer help for. Click for list of project. Contact Gary Picard to let him/trustees know that you'd like to take care of one or more of the projects on the list.
Summer Fellowship Gatherings. Our summer gatherings at one another's houses are returning this summer. Hooray! We need 8 persons to volunteer their home for our Summer Picnics - Wednesday evenings in July and August. (5:30 - 8pm) With the Covid rules still in effect it is easier than ever. You only need to supply paper goods a grill and something to drink. Sharing food is not allowed at this time. Everyone brings their own chairs. Email me at to host an evening.
Human Sexuality Conversation. We are taking a break until August. This week or next, I will be sending out a summary along with all the recordings of our sessions so that, whether you participated with us or not, you can begin praying for discernment in how God is calling us forward. I am attaching the powerpoint slides from our time together for your review. Also, there are three more churches planning to disaffiliate from the United Methodist Church during our annual conference in a couple weeks. There is an informational video (the first pre-conference conversation) at this link: https://www.neumc.org/preconferencematerials
Neighborhood Prayer Group. Monday, June 7th, 6 p.m. At Pastor John's house--127 Richardson Corner Road, Charlton. If you are planning on helping with this ministry, you can join us for dinner and fellowship as we continue planning. Please bring your own dinner if you can. Danielle will make a big meal but it will only be big enough for one or two who forget or are unable to bring their own meal.
SPRC. Tuesday, June 8th, 7 p.m. At the church building.
YABS (Young Adult Bible Study). Thursday, June 10th, 7 p.m.
